yes it is interesting that they make what seems to be a very odd size tire; I believe they make the 38 in an R18 as well. I suppose it is geared more towards full size trucks like the Tremor etc.?

Similar problem. The exterior handle sensor for the proximity locks had failed causing the locking system to go berserk. Dealer put in a new handle and problem solved.
I run the Nitto RG 37 x 11.5. Extremely happy with the tire. Thoughts on whether their 38 will fit in the stock spare location? Storing it in the bed is a non-starter for me.
With the limited height in your garage I’d go with a hub tent. Set up in 60 seconds and leave all the gear/drawers in the glady.
