  1. New to towing, purchasing a small camper

Looks awesome! I had an R-pod camper that was a little heavier and the JT did great. We towed it a good bit this summer and had no issues. I used the Tekonsha controller in my Grand Cherokee and the JT and it worked fine. Below are the links. You'll need the wiring harness if you go this route...
  2. Jeep gladiator your first Jeep?

Jeepaholic here. The JT is my 8th Jeep. 2 XJs, 2, WK2s, 1 JKU and we currently have a JLU and a CJ7. I guess we are gluttons for punishment. We have had a few great Jeeps, reliability wise and some terrible ones. We always enjoy them though. My wife has become a Jeep fan too. The JT is by far...
  3. Jeep mini-Gladiator...

Very cool to me. I certainly can't imagine paying what they are asking but it would a cool vehicle to have. I could see a lot of folks being interested in it for an around town hauler in the $25,000 or less range, when brand new. My Dad loves the old Ford Rangers and has had a couple in the...
  4. What did you HAUL in your JT today?

Had a good haul a few weeks ago. Lots of good venison for the freezer.
  5. Let's see those old ads

Awesome Jeepster Jim! I have thought about selling my CJ-7 for one. They are hard to come by though. Such a unique Jeep though. Is yours the V6 Buick engine? It looks pristine.
  6. Gladiator broken windshield

Where did you all get the Racing Optics film? Did you install yourself or have a glass company do it? My wife's JL's windshield has already been cracked and we are getting it replaced this week. I'm sure my JT will probably get chipped and/or cracked without some protection as much as I drive...
  7. Dealer talked me out of JT. (For the time being)

We have a JT and JLU and had a JKUI see little to know difference in leg room. Lots more little storage under and behind the seats of the JT. With a bed cover the amount of dry storage is amazingly better in the JT. Other than hauling the dogs in their crate, the JT is so much more practical for...
  8. Gladiator Rubicon Overheating Issue

I had a similar issue with the a 2011 Grand Cherokee at 75,000 miles on it that I had bought new. Two dealers replaced the thermostat, radiator, and water pump. All of the work was on my dime out of warranty. I lost all confidence in it and traded it in to the last dealer that I paid $4,500 to...
  9. Jeep Gladiator Q3 2020 Sales Results

Very good news! I get a ton of folks asking about mine. Much more than any vehicle that I have ever owned. I even had an older Amish guy that was loading some rock for me the other day give a compliment of how much he liked it! My wife and I thought that would be a great Gladiator commercial!
  10. After the warranty runs out on your Gladiator...

Bwhahahaha!!! Too funny. Exactly why I went ahead and got the Mopar Extended warranty. I have not had such good luck with the last 3 Jeeps I bought new. The last aftermarket warranty paid for its self by 65,000 and then I traded it in and got back $700 on the "unused" prorated portion. I have...
  11. Admit it. Now that you own a JT, JKU's aren't necessary!

We have had a JKU and now have a JLU and a JT. My wife would not want to drive the JT because of the length and she likes having the dogs in the back cargo area and my son in the back seat. She loves her JLU and it does work well for what she wants. It is a perfect vehicle for her. It does seem...
  12. Highway Road Noise - 35s - BFG, NITTO, TOYO

In the 33s, my wifes BFGs AT KOs are a little louder and stiffer than my Toyo AT3's. Not terribly different but noticeable. I drive a lot more on the highway for work and am glad I have the Toyos. I enjoy the hum of her BFGs with the top open and around town in her JLU though.
  13. Towing mileage, how much weight your pulling and mpg your getting

Yes, its not too bad. It a good compromise of a truck.
  14. Towing mileage, how much weight your pulling and mpg your getting

We had a R-pod teardrop trailer that was about 4,000 loaded up and I got 9 miles per gallon on the highway with the JT that has 33's on it that I haven't calibrated for. I may actually got 10 or 11 MPG. My previous two Grand Cherokees with the V6 and stock tires got about 11 MPG. I could get...
  15. 2021 Jeep Gladiator Build & Price is UP

Glad I got my Gobi JT this year. Bummer they discontinued that and the Gator.
  16. What 35” AT ??

Those Toyos look awesome and it would be great to not have such a wide tire on stock rims and save the added weight. I have always like thinner tires instead of wider, especially for daily drivers. Wish I would have went with these instead of the Toyo 33s that I put on. These 35 will be my next...
  17. Thinking of trading in the JL...

We have both, a JL in Stingray gray like yours (hers) and a JT in Gobi (mine). Love your JL. Looks like you have really modded it well. Both have 33s on stock suspension with just side steps as mods. They are both great vehicles. The JL seems a bit pepper, seems to drive a little better and I...
  18. Hauling dogs? What’s your setup?

Looks like a great cover. I would be interested in where to purchase also. My 11 year old might not find it comfortable but it looks like a great cover to keep the seats clean and easy to put on and pull off. Thanks!
  19. Why not buy a full size truck for the same price?

Gas mileage, parking size in a downtown parking garage and Jeep fun are my reasons. Just like boat size and jet outboard or prop, there are no perfect vehicles. Always give and take. The JT checks the most boxes for me. Price for a full size is usually more from my shopping experience too...
  20. Longest Continuous Drive in Your JT?

We just drove 1,600 miles (800 each way) pulling our 18 foot camper that weighs about 3,500 pounds loaded up with 3 kayaks on top of the JT with 2 kids and 2 adults and it did great. We drove from KY to NC (Outerbanks) and went through some hilly terrain. It towed much better than the previous...
