Decided on the Trail Hogs, couldn't pass up trying them for $220/tire. The tire shop said no issues balancing all 5. So far so good but will see how they wear. They do fit in the spare tire location as well. Will post an update after a few months.
Wow 85k is impressive. Mine have a little over 30k and two are completely shot, zero tread. But I should mention quite a bit of offroading in rocks and I do almost zero freeway driving, all city/suburban driving over past 5 years with these.
Mud hogs. They are very good off road, pretty noisy on road though. I didn't rotate the tires for 30k miles out of laziness and two tires are completely done, lesson learned.
Thank you, crossing those off the list ✅
Looking for real world experience. I always research before spending and what I've learned is a higher price tag doesn't always equate to performance.
Anyone run either of these and have an opinion about which is better? I had the 37x12.5r17 Kanati Mud Hogs which were solid but are now worn and want to try a different set. Thanks!
My OCD of being able to see the fluid level made me order this one but in hindsight should have bought one without this tube because it does seem flimsy, will have keep an eye on it..
Update. The leak restarted in the same spot near plastic connector below coolant reservoir about a week after replacing the plastic connector. Soon after I was in an accident and didn't have my Jeep for quite awhile.
I am convinced the bottom of tank was slightly warped or something as...
Hello,
We were dead stopped at a red light and were rear ended by a drunk driver. There were no signs of braking and unfortunately the driver was heavily impaired. Thank God we all walked away without injuries.
I have filed claim with the DUI guy's insurance company.
Does anyone have any tips...
Update
Hose assembly came in. I removed the reservoir and did not see any cracks or deformations near bottle neck. Removed old plastic connector and didn't notice anything weird with it or the inner washer, but of course replaced it with the new one. Topped off coolant and ran for awhile. No...
**UPDATE**
After driving for 3 weeks, have noticed the dreaded coolant leak is back. Its definitely a slow leak as I have not added any coolant to reservoir.
Looks like I will be joining the club of buying the entire hose assembly to replace the doinky plastic fitting...smh.
Unless, has...
Hello,
2021 JT Sport S
25K Miles
Reading about the notorious rocker arm/cam failures has me a little on edge as warranty period is closing out lol.
Does this "tick" sound like normal injector noise or more like the dreaded 3.6 tick of death?
I can't hear anything inside cab or really...
Update, it could have been my imagination but I THINK the cap was ever so slightly loose when I opened it up. I am hoping that was the issue!
For now I cleaned everything the best I could and topped off the coolant level. I'm pretty confident no harm done as the coolant level was just sitting...
Hello,
2021 JT Sport
26K miles
I was doing my routine checks and noticed the coolant reservoir was empty! I always keep an eye on the temps in dash and fortunately have never noticed anything out of ordinary so hoping I am fine.
I see coolant leaked directly below reservoir.
I need to tear...
Hello,
Interested in trading my factory hard top straight up for soft top (with hardware). Hard top is in great condition.
Located in Las Vegas, NV.
Please contact me if interested.
Thank you.
Just curious what size lift you have?
I have a 3.5" lift and have these mounted in the top hole. It rides decent but I am going to take up your suggestion on trialing lower mounting location to middle and bottom slots for sure.
It seems like as they fit the JT, the instructions are written for...
Thank you all for input & discussion. Oil is not milky so do not believe there is any significant water intrusion. I decided to change it out for piece of mind - went with ordering Mopar 75W-85 (no additive - no LSD) as I don't do a ton of towing (no pun intended).
