I FINALLY cut the board for the back of the Gladiator. The 57 and 5/8ā length was perfect. So far I just did the length cut and the 45 degree cuts on the board. Still need to cut the slots and round the edges with the router. The cedar board is lighter and it smells great!
ā21 EcoD High Altitude with tow package and no aux switches. Iāve got the 240 amp alternator but the smaller battery. Thereās just a spacer there as the battery tray is the same. when I need to replace the battery Iāll be āupgradingā to the bigger battery just because.
Pulled a big enclosed...
Got ours done yesterday. They did the rear axle seal recall as well. Turns out the right was leaking too so that one got done under warranty. Sheās right as rain now and Iāll admit to feeling a little more at ease with the pump replaced.
I love my ā21 HA diesel. Also, āno ballsā and a diesel Gladiator do not belong in the same sentence. Itās no Corvette, but itās got torque for days. Itāll absolutely push you back in the seat and has zero problems pulling hard right up to the 110mph speed limiter. Iād buy another in a heartbeat.
Our HA Diesel is a beast in the snow. Our son lives in Michigan so we go up there regularly in the winter. We do swap out to Rubicon 17ā wheels with 285-17/70 KO2ā for winter and when we go wheeling.
It has clawed through some truly nasty roads in the hinterlands of Michigan coming home at...
The wiring harness issue on the passenger side was the problem. The dealership is going to wrap the harness in that area and try to move it further from the exhaust and heat shield. Iāll have it back tomorrow.
The service manager said she was going to say something to her upstream about a...
The ETC and oil pressure alerts were clear when we started it up to put it on the flatbed. Just a CEL. When we unloaded it at the dealership for the next start even the CEL cleared. Iām interested in what they tell me tomorrowā¦ā¦
I will say that my experience with Jeep Wave was great!
Getting ready for Silver Lake and some sand dune running next week. Tanked up our Glad and washed it. On the way to the parts store for a jug of DEF (half empt) and the dash lights up like a Christmas tree. ETC and oil pressure. Engine still running but stumbles. I immediately pull over and...
Iām not a fan of ESS especially in our diesel. The Gladiator and the Silverado both do it. My āautomaticā start process is to hit the start button then hit the disable ESS.
I fully understand that the manufacturer upgrades the starter for the additional cycles. What I really donāt like is...
I haven't done anything other than a K&N filter to my engine. It still looks like my profile pic......
I've debated doing the cover and foam packing. From my understanding it's just there for noise abatement, correct?
There's been quite a few threads about replacing the front speakers, even some recently. Most of the concentration seems to be on the 3.5" dash speakers as they are by far the easiest to get to. I haven't done anything yet but I'm seriously thinking about just swapping out the fronts.
From my...
So last month we drove to Orlando. Took the ecoD Gladiator and drove 1100-ish highway miles each way. We actually ran into a speed restriction on the way home based on heat soak/temp. On the way home we were coming through Atlanta. Anyone that's ever driven through Atlanta in the daytime...
