Yes and it's supplied to the factory as part of the wiring harness by some vendor, I'm hoping the diesels aren't on the list because their wiring harness is different, perhaps a different vendor, they may have multiple vendors and the affected ones only came from one vendor. At this point who...
I'm hoping the diesels doesn't make the list. They have a completely different wiring harness and what ever the flaw was may not be in these wiring harnesses. We'll see when the list comes out tomorrow.
It turned out well. They found the aux battery was the problem AND they did replace it under warranty. So I guess I'll go with the stupid ESS for now. I'll assume the service guy looked into things more after I pressed him when dropping it off.
I'm having battery issues in the cold with my Glad, it's manufacture date is 12-2023, I bought it in May '24, and the dealer says there is no battery warranty. You would think it would be at least like a 36 month battery warranty and give a pro rate, but no. Apparently it's common practice in...
Horrible stretch of road, holds water when it rains, some curves banked the wrong way. I witnessed that 12 mile back up 4th of July week when they had that rain washout, people sat in their vehicles over night, 9 hours with no food, water or medicine if needed because nobody in the turnpike...
I have long wondered why Jeep and other SUV/truck makers don't put drawer safes under the front seats? Seems like it would be a great sales point, whether it's your Glock, radar detector, dashcam, tablet or other small electronics you don't want to carry. One of the biggest ways gangbangers...
I think it's because the top brass at Stellantis (like others) decided we all wanted EV's and have deluded themselves into believing there will be no more IC engines in 10 years. That's why they dropped the Eco Diesel in the Ram 1500 (then Jeep followed suit), they thought everyone would flock...
The problem with the "marketplace" is the government which skews the whole thing with regulations subsidies and taxes to get the result "they" want. Like pushing and subsidizing EV's, and as many posts here have talked about costs of diesel vs gas, the government punishes diesels, fuel should...
Plenty of ways to carry fishing rods. I roll with a tackle shop full, front receiver is one answer to hold a rod rack, those are up to 10' long, that's a 15' "heaver" on top of the gorilla racks up there (actually 3 rods cant' see the black ones). Laying them in a bed is the best way to damage...
Maybe a Tacoma owner will verify if a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood fits in the bed or not. I saw a guy in a parking lot trying and it didn't lay flat, he had it cocked over the side. Didn't investigate to see if he had modified something or just didn't care. The Gladiator's system is nice, I use it...
I thought they had to fold by gov regulation since maybe the early 80's. Originated in europe, narrow streets clipping pedestrians was the genesis....not joking toured the Mercedes plant in Stuttgart back in the late 70's and I think that where I heard that...
Found it: " ECE Regulation 46...
The only one bank is the trip, I would have thought plugs earlier. A mechanic friend of mine had Toyota that ran rough, nothing seemed to point to the problem, but the customer had put platinum plugs in, swapped them back to the basic OEM NKG's problem solved. The computer didn't like the...
Great point, I thought "Cooling" was the reason the diesel is "tuned down" when put in the Jeep and towing is rated below the gas version...maybe they'll put an extra radiator in the back somewhere (joke)....
