‘22 Mojave build from a novice Jeeper

Hey everyone,

I picked up a ‘22 sting gray Mojave and have been wanting to turn it into a capable grocery getting and overlander. If anyone is located in the Nothern Virginia area and wants to hit some trails let me know!

so far I’ve only got the following:

Clayton 2.5” Overland Plus lift
2.5” shock extensions
37x12.50r17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/Ts
17x9 Black Rhino Primm w/ -18mm offset

Well got the tires but the shop said I came to late so they wouldn’t mount and balance so hopefully tomorrow and will be installing lift tomorrow as well.

Wheels and tires on the stock Mojave suspension! Clayton 2.5” Overland Plus going on next weekend

Welp, put the @Clayton Off Road 2.5” overland plus on today in the drive way. Ran into a few issues with the Rusty’s Shock Extensions and bolt diameters but she’s all together now. I was super nervous about the rear end as the brake lines got pretty tight and it was still a pain to get the rear springs in there with keeping the original boot that kept falling out. I still need to torq everything down and take it down to the shop for an alignment. I hope I did alright for a novice haha.

i also went ahead and put in the JKS quick disconnects

Pic #1 with the stock tires in the bed is before the lift, 37s on stock suspension.

up next is the Evo Quarter Pounder and Warn Evo VR 10s.

Yeah, not right this second but I’ll definitely be doing it in the future. I’ve heard from a shop around here that 4.88s are a good choice for a capable off-road rig and Daily driver.

Installed the Evo Quarter Pounder today but found in my D-Ring mounts box I only had 4 long bolts and 4 short bolts @EVO MFG can I get 4 more long bolts for the D-ring mount?

installed the Warn Evo VR 10s, I really wanted to hide my wires but the only way I have seen people doing this is by cutting the bottom of the grill, which I didn’t want to do.

Can you guys also let me know what you think about my pinion angle, I may need to drop my UCA’s and redo it.

I’d suggest you probably don’t have enough thread on even the ‘long’ bolt. I’d suggest ordering some new Grade 8 (or higher) hardware for the bumper attachment and make sure you have sufficient threads exposed to get the entire not over it.

Ended up taking the interior plate of and it gave me more than enough thread.
