I have never bought on Amazon. I don't have an account. I will buy off a real company here . I prefer the ones with King shock with JT valves.
many of the "real companys" here have amazon stores

And.......
many stores on Amazon are by the same people under several names......
The solid companies that sell there use one name.

I was able to install this today. The QR code for the instructions in the box was a dead link but I was able to search YouTube and find an install video. It went in pretty easy. Attaching the strut requires you lift the hood a little more to attach the bottom. The quality seems good - will see how it holds up long term.

They are a Chinese Redline knock-off, brackets are identical and install the exact same way as Redline Tuning struts for Jeep, so all you have to do is find any Redline install instructions.

Thanks for the heads-up. The QR code is invalid because the original installation video was accidentally deleted on our end. We’re checking if it can be recovered. Sorry for the inconvenience.
In the meantime, please use the re-uploaded installation video here:

There is something Jeep about using the prop rod. Less things that can fail.

Yeah, there was nothing to design - that part caught me in a prior post. Grab a product, duplicate it, save any R and D work and testing. Look at the straps sold elsewhere here. Same thing under different names. Check all of the sellers in Amazon

In all fairness its a simple bracket. Look at the IRO 2” lift kit and the AEV 2” lift kit and how similar they are even down to the shock extension brackets.

I’ll agree with you and others on the whole Aluminum vs Steel weight issue but a strut is a strut. If you can find more affordable struts that operate in the same perimeters and hold the weight of a steel hood go for it.

I was just going to just swap the shocks and keep the brackets from the old redline hood lift.
But compared to the redlines, the brackets on these are thicker and stronger as is the ball pin base.
There is something satisfying about the hood lifting once again. :CWL:

Just an update on my install. The bolts are rusting after a few weeks

Very sorry for this problem! I've sent a DM to discuss the compensation details.
