Due to electronics availability, etc. they had to change makers/brand/type of sensors and move the sending duties to the RFhub where the remote start, remote lock antenna is. There's no longer a dedicated TPM system box, that function was moved.
So it's not just the sensors in the wheels but the whole TPMS changed companies. Jeep and others don't make their own - they are at the mercy of companies that make and supply them.
I can't say that every Jeep owner was overwhelmed with grief when that system was lost - many didn't like it and used other means, found it slow, unreliable and so on. It's one of those "matters of preference". Some will mourn the loss, others will say they never missed it.

Well my 03/21 JTR is my first vehicle with TPMS.
I need to get out more.

What happened was I swapped
my 35/12.50/17 tires on Fuel Zephyr wheels
for the OEM tires and wheels on a 2023 JTR.
We both got what we wanted out of the deal
but both of lost TPMS
and the 2023 also lost the Tire Fill Alert System.
I don't think I have the TFAS.

Fortunately, my tireman has agreed for us to come back
so he can swap out the sensors for free.
That is exceedingly kind of him
but maybe the case of cold beer I had left behind
had something to do with it.
In any event, I definitely owe him another case.

Kudos and props to David and the crew
at Denson Tire Center in Palestine, Texas.

They did an outstanding job for us
providing sensor affirming care
as we transitioned wheels and tires.

During that time
several other customers came through the shop.
In this day and age
to witness the kindness and consideration
extended to them
in a stressful situation
makes me appreciate how great it is
to live in a small town.

I have no ties to Denson
other than two cases of beer.
