Does anyone know if there is a 12V power source accessible behind the rear seats?

Would like to install a rear facing dash cam that’s independent of the front facing camera.

For a prefit bracket and a 12V layout already setup and pretty much plug and play the price is reasonable, in my opinion. The time saved in designing wiring routes and layouts more than makes up for expense. It’s an option.

What's the power source for it though? Where does it tap in to the vehicle?
I'm thinking of several ways to wire it. One way is directly to battery. Looks like there is a switch to turn it on and off. Second way since I have the aux switches with the extra ignition and battery wires under the dash, I could wire it to either wire using a relay since I think those wires under the dash are rated for 10 amps.

"Provides two 12V and two USB A&C sockets, perfect for powering all your overlanding and off-road gear. Charge phones, tablets, and more with ease. Also includes a 20' long 12ga harness with in-line fuse for easy installation. "

I'd say it taps into wherever the installer finds an available 12v feed within reach of the twenty foot harness. Their harness appears to come with ring terminals preinstalled, so maybe they have a connection to the battery or PDC box lugs in mind.

I think that's exactly what's being asked here. Is there a place where can you tap into power behind the seats?

Appreciate the suggestion, it’s a neat solution, but I’m looking for a more hidden location lower down behind the seats.

Possibly accessible behind this removable panel?

There is a spot where the bluetooth speaker would be if you had one which would be directly below what you've marked out here. My assumption was there would be power there since that speaker has its own fused line from under the hood and you could get to it from behind that panel if you could get low enough. I'm doing something similar soon, but as of yet haven't dug around in there.

Your question seemed to imply you thought Genesis had a specific connection point in mind behind the seat for their product. I was specifically answering your question, to the effect that it did not appear that is the case since a twenty foot long harness would be exceedingly long and unnecessary to connect to any power source located behind the rear seat. Sorry that wasn't clear enough.

I get it. I was clarifying to help. Do you know where behind the seat it can tap into?

If not, that's okay, we don't need to go down the rabbit hole.

I believe the one I posted is designed to be connected at the battery or fuse box. Of course if you run the Diesel Dual Battery kit it’ll connect in the under seat box. Not that I’ve thought about running that about 5 million times or anything. :bandit:
