I had my "suspicions" based on observations, recollections of past conversation in the forums about the differences starting about a year ago. But had no proof, and the only "evidence" was my own memory and my own trucks - not enough to go to court with LOL.Okay, after doing a bit more research I confirmed with my local dealership that it was a change done on the model year 2022. Which explains why your new gladiator had them.
The fog lights with the 2 shades/covers are the newer led fog lights.
I don't recall it ever being brought up in my first year or two of owning my first Gladiator and that makes sense since all there was at that time was 2020 and 2021.
It explains why someone could buy LED lights with a bumper, and look on the lot and see every single 2022 and later Jeep on the lot with different fog lights.
10 points to Griffindor for your research and commitment to getting to the bottom of it.
The reasons could be many - new vendor, or a quest to standardize the LED foglights for multiple markets (Canada, USA, EU, Australia, whatever)
Man, if you take that one on, you get 100 points.
