Hi everyone,

New to the site here but looking for anyone with experience with the ARE CX Evolve (or any CX topper) and the gladiator.

I am looking at the ARE CX Evolve and was curious if it's possible to install it with the trail rail system. If anyone got the CX Evolve how do you like the topper? Any extras you suggest getting as a must-have? Looking at getting the keyless entry, dual rope lights, the light switch, and the sliding front window so far.

Thanks so much! :)

I have the CXE with all of those features. I also opted for the outdoorsman windows, cargo rails, and a 50" Cap-Pack. I think if you ever intend on adding the cargo rails, it has to be moulded in when its built, just an FYI.

Love the cap. Fit and finish is about 95%. Could be better, but its pretty good IMO. The outdoorsman windows are handy and my dog loves to hang his head out while riding back there. I have yet to lower the front window for cleaning but will get a chance during my Spring cleaning. The rope lights work great. I have the prop switch as well, which is convenient.

Overall, I'm so glad I have the cap now. The utility is great to have and being able to throw things in there under cover is great as well.

Thanks for letting me know! Ended up placing an order for the evolve and added on the front window. Super excited! :like:

Not sure if you got your answer already, but the cap has two different mounting clamp styles, one is has a bottom bracket that mounts into the trail rail, and the other just clamps to the inside surface of your bed side if you don't have the MOPAR trail rails. I don't believe there's a difference in the cap regardless which option you go with, it's just a different mounting kit that ships with the cap.

Here's a pic of the two clamp styles from the install guide:
