2 roof racks?

Does anyone use 2 roof racks one for the front and one for the back? What did you use? I would like the option of a full roof rack and the ability to to remove the front to take freedom panels off when I want to and still have the back half for storage! Been looking at Trailraks modular rack but it’s over $1300

Welll, I have the RhinoRack Pioneer Platform. It's not modular as you are looking for but it allows me to take the freedom panels off while fully installed:

I use 2 roof racks. My rear rack is an Alu-cab rack on top of the topper. I have my fly rod vault on that. I also have a RTT that I put on when I am using it. Then on the front, I have Thule racks that I have a basket on and when I have the RTT on the back, I put an awning on the front rack. In this set up of this pic, the awning is on the back rack. I can still take off the freedom panels as well.

I'm running the rhino rack pioneer platform mentored above. Instead of their mounting method I purchased thru maximus-3. Very happy with their solution. Can run freedom panels off or remove the whole top and put the rack back on.

When I purchased my gladiator I did a lot of research on this and came up with what I think is a pretty good system. On the front I have the Rhino Rack Backbone system, but instead of using the Rhino Rack crossbars I purchased 78” Yakima HD crossbars. Rhino Rack sells a plastic spacer that can easily be modified to allow to Yakima crossbars to mate with the Backbone. On the rear I have the Yakima Overhaul with the same 78” HD crossbars. All four crossbars are mounted at the same height so I can mix and match the crossbars depending on what I am hauling. The system is very sturdy and any part easily removes when not being used. If you are interested I can give you more details if exactly what I purchased.
