Before you go get any sheet goods... sight down gate with the cable stops, to the the 2x6... that should be 5-1-/2” actual. I think the tailgate and wheel arch need (2) 2x4 or 7” actual to line up.

not sureif it lines up without a board on the wheel arch...

In mine, I know it lines up to the tailgate at half, a 2x4 on its side (1-1/2” actual) and then (2) 2x4 on end (3-1/2” + 3-1/2”=7”) in the rear recesses

Thank you! Yeah I was looking down the top of the 2x6 the other day towards the cab of the truck. It looked like the 2x6 was below the fender wells. Good info.
Its main purpose right now is to keep other sheet from sliding forward so I can reach it! See what I did there? :CWL:

Good recovery!

I kind of figured is saw “job site” and knew where that was going!

it’s just temporary, can’t see it from my house, and good enough for who it’s for.... in reserve if this all goes south!:CWL:

This is a great build! Unique. You've kept the Jeep part a jeep. Thanks for mentioning the amber fogs work. Wondering how that thing feels being towed, or if you feel it at all?

Thank you. We are always towing either the boat, or a Jeep behind the motorhome. We previously hauled the TJ on a trailer, or flat towed the 2 door JK. I honestly can't tell the difference towing any of them. The Gladiator is pushing the towing limit of the V10 powered RV, but it is lighter than when we hauled the TJ on the car trailer. The Gladiator flat tows the best. I think it has to do with the extra length.

So the answer is yes when asked do you tow your car or your house... I was wondering about death wobble or wander. Is that a thing if it's being towed.. ? Anyway, your way is how to keep the look. In your first post with the old wheels tires I was like, huh, wrong look for the truck, but then you finished the look and they and it are perfect. Cool!

I modified my Trail Rail-Unistrut parts-dune flag mount. It worked great, but I had to run the flag with the tonneau cover open.
A piece of thinner steel, some paint, and 15 minutes solved that problem.

Camping season is here. First flat tow with the 37" tires. Absolutely no difference from last year on 35's.
