When on the freeway in hot temps today (110 degrees)
I had the a/c on LO and going approx 60 mph.. when I Accelerate hard the ac blows warm and when I lift the pedal it goes cold again.. as long as I keep my foot in it it stays warm.. lift it and again it blows cold...

2nd issue.. open glove box and the air slows down in the vents.. I can see the flap and the filters behind the glove box.. it’s open and flap opens and lowers but doesn’t shut.. is that normal?

That sounds normal on pretty much all cars.

To over simplify, at WOT (Wide Open Throttle) the AC turns off By design.

First one I have had that has done this.. my 2012 dodge never, 05 duramax never, 2011 mercedes never .. my Buick Enclave I gave to my daughter didn’t do it.. so I wouldn’t say it’s all cars.. never had it before on any I’ve owned..

let me be a little more clear.. not wide open but accelerate quickly

is the flap above the filter(behind the glove box) supposed to close off all the way with recirc on?

Havnt had time to look into this yet but what I can say is it doesn’t do it in the morning when it’s warm but does when it’s hot and only when like changing lanes. Have a pedal commander .. so the setting make the pedal react a little different meaning a partial push is a major push with the commander..

Running the AC whether it was 70F or 100F+ outside regardless of AC temp setting (AC not in auto mode) I also experienced hot air blowing from the passenger side floor area. This would happen randomly with city driving or cruising at highway speeds (kept it in the double digits).

Today, per my request (from forum suggestions) the dealer reprogrammed per TSB 24-007-19 and TSB 24-007-21.

This seems to have fixed the problem, I will advise if further driving reveals otherwise.

Thank you all for the information that helped.

Just a note - TSB 24-007-21 supersedes 24-006-19 so the dealer may not have the latter because it's supposed to be removed from their records. 24-007-21 is the current version.
