Figured I would introduce myself here.
I purchased a used 2021 Gladiator last month from a local dealer.
Haven't done much to it yet, just added floor liners/mats and locking hood hinges.
Plan for now is to just add a soft top for the summer and seat covers until the extended warranty is up

I am not new to Jeeps.
I used to wheel a 1990 YJ that I bought when I was in school
Also had a 1987 YJ I bought later on when the 1990 fell apart (literally)
In 2015 I bought a 2008 JK that I didn't keep long because it developped the death wobble and needed some other work, I needed a reliable vehicle for work and I traded it in.

Ever since they announced the Gladiator I wanted one and planned to trade in my truck to get one.
Then they came out and I saw what they were going for and instead bought an F150.
Unfortunately I made the mistake of buying an extended cab rather then the Crew Cab which was a pain to park and get kids in and out of the back seat.
Finally saw some decent Gladiators in the area and traded in my truck to get it.

My plan is to keep this one for a while

Welcome and congrats. The black on black looks great. I'm on my second Gladiator and my kids have loved both of them even more than me.

Thanks for the Welcome.

Out of my 4 'Jeeps' that I have owned, 3 have been black.
The 90 YJ was Black with Grey interior
The 87 YJ was Black with Tan interior
and the JK was silver

I liked the 'Black on Black' of this gladiator, and when I found the original window sticker with the manuals in the glove box I found that it was purchased with the black badging also.
I had the choice between this one and a grey Rubicon that had less mileage but had an accident on record (bumper was replaced after the previous owner went off the road after sliding on black ice). This one was clean and had been maintained religiously at the dealership.

I can say after driving it for a few weeks, theres only a couple of things I am not a fan of.

1. the radio/touch screen controls on the wheel and the radio info/display. My F150 had a much nicer/more detailed display and easier controls.

2. The factory running boards on the side (needed so the kids can get in easier) are a bit high for the door height

3. The strap/wiring bundle for the front door hits my leg all the time while driving

4. The storage in the cab is so much less then my old F150

5. I miss having a keypad to unlock the door on the outside, and that the locks don't have the sensor to unlock the doors by touching the handles like other cars i have driven for work that have push button starts.
