That 7500 is no longer reality. It was dropped this April or May down to about half of that. The batteries in the JL 4xe are not made in the USA.
Only Pacifica and certain others still get the 7500.
We got it because we bought in January and all the papers were signed and the IRS papers done and printed in January, before they pulled the rug out.......

So if looking at Wrangler 4xe - you can forget the 7500 - it doesn't exist. That makes it a lot more expensive.
It sure does exist as $7500 you just need to lease it. We got it last month on our GC 4xe before our engine shit the bed.

Yes, if you lease -which we never do.
Or do like already said - lease, buy out the lease and take only a small hit from the 7500.
Leasing isn't for everyone but it may swing a few more that direction with the tax "incentives".
Not everyone is willing to go that route, or even understands it, so the majority of buyers simply won't get it. Dealers are certainly not going to suggest it. (if some of them could even figure it out)

Generally we dont lease either, but we are not happy we did since the GC 4xe we got is a lemon. We will for sure not be buying this out at any time even when the lemon issue is resolved.

I would actually encourage everyone to lease the 4xe, over on the 4xe board there's endless complaints about problems and error codes. Just too high an incidence of issues to not have an out at year 3 (or whatever terms there are).

That's a good point. I was thinking of doing the same (tbd) if the new Gladiator was 4xe just because these things seem to hold their depreciation well and that gets me the tax credit plus an exit, with reasonable lease terms (despite leasing being the most expensive way to drive a car outside of the new subscription models and rental cars). Also considered it to get me past the 2025 potential changes they've hinted at. Is it 11am tomorrow yet?
