Yup your right for the autos. We went with the 6-speed. Aka “ millennial theft deterrent”. So tow rating is way down. We were also able to get the tow package with the manual as we will tow very light stuff every once in a while. I have another tow truck for our boats at 9k + lbs. But the Mohave will work great for our run about. I’ll also be adding a cable locker for the front diff for the real nasty trails.
Sorry can’t help myself….it’s Mojave not Mohave.?

Haha Touche` sir! Touche`, nice catch, something so simple I should have caught. In my defense, I typed a good bit and maybe messed up probably the most important thing!

Technology package, I’m not sure I remember what that contains. Adaptive cruise control and blind spot sensors? I would wonder if the chip shortage might result in some of that stuff being temporarily unavailable.

Hey Shawn,
I don’t mind at all! We would have a trade technically. It’s a 2013 Silverado 6.2 1/2 ton. Great truck and don’t want to sell/ trade but looking to change up a little. Life’s to short to drive just one vehicle. We also have a 1956 Belair and a 68 charger so we’re well rounded. So that should kinda answer #1. Trade in value is around 20k or 24-26k private party value with today’s inflation. So we estimate around 18 for good measure.

For #2.
When we were making the order form on the website at the dealership to show them what we want it was still on the 2021 platform. This is a very well known jeep dealership here in MD and they still didn’t have the online process for 2022’s. So we were writing it down and talking to the General Manager. The block heater was an option online but discussing it the GM he said it can’t be done. So basically sounds like the GM knows the details on 2022 specifics and is still some kind of secret? Block heater is minimal knowing I’m very mechanically inclined to do it myself. I just wanted it for giggles if we travel north.

#3. I noticed something weird here to predict for later so check this out. We wanted the dual door group for us only vs aftermarket. As we ordered the color matched 3 piece top and the solid sun bonnet (also a Tonneau cover was mandatory with the dual door group which was odd so we went with the 3 piece fold option at $625) with it so the dual door group went well how we ordered it. HOWEVER, what I have been hearing is people are ordering the dual door group just to sell the half doors at a premium later on eBay as a rare item. And make back the $4,990 option for people that follow the parts inflation/rarity market. Wheeling and dealing if you will. So the dual door group is completely optional and don’t have to. So not sure why your dealer said you have to. It’s a $4990 option that’s shouldn’t be mandatory. That’s crazy. .

#4. We ordered a 2022 Mojave, couldn’t settle on color so we decided no color at all. Lol so we went with white. My wife’s an architect and loves clean colors and lines. My grandparents have a white grand Cherokee 4.0 with almost 400k so white is good luck for us perhaps. Red is our bad luck color. I will say the build process for the 2022 is exactly $2020 more then the 2021. We expected at least 3-4 months as I’m a wheeler dealer myself and follow the lead times, parts builds ect…. The build was still a touch over 60k so this will be our last new vehicle for a looooong time. And we’re in no hurry. But had to put $1000 down to order. I don’t mind waiting as long as quality is top notch. May sell the truck as private party before hand vs. trade in.
Hey Mountain Dave, Check out CarGuru for a sales price, it’s amazing what they pay!

We ordered ours on Tuesday and the block heater could be added online but not when we officially ordered it at the dealership. The dual door group also requires to get a tonneau cover as well. Kinda strange but I guess that’s how it works. It’s our first jeep and was told the builds are 150 days out or so.
I built and ordered my JT some where around November 4 and it is supposed to ship today 11/30. Fingers crossed

Wow! that is a great turn around time Bill!

We finished my order last night but they have to talk with the local rep and figure out how to delete that mandatory dual door option. Everything is good until you pick a color then it says you have to add the dual door group, crazy. I also want the factory to install the brake controller and see if I can get the black wheels. Hoping to get this thing ordered today or tomorrow.

"Engine block heater is not available currently in the order bank"

I built my JT Overland and ordered it the 1st week of November. It is now in Toledo and supposedly I will have it before the end of the month.

Dealer said the local rep told him the block heater is installed minus the cord and the cord can be bought through the parts department. Also the EOM brake controller is a Jeep aftermarket part and can be installed by the dealer but NOT at the factory.

That's great! Now I'm just spit balling here but if say you or anyone custom ordered a jeep and they just so happen to find one thats identical with the same options on another lot if they would sell you that particular one? If you follow me? We do it in the hvac service field. Very different from custom order yes, but if someone needs service faster or in the case of a dealership a "faster Sell" vs waiting for your actual ordered one. I wonder if that happens? Full disclosure, I have no idea how dealerships works as im.just spit balling here.

TBH, if the dealership liked your choices they could have ordered another 1 exactly like yours for the lot.

MountainDave, I can't believe 150 days?!? I have questions, if you are willing to respond I would really appreciate it. I will just fire them off below...…

1. Do you have a trade and if so how did they price your trade with such a long build time?
2. So when you ordered, you did not get an engine block heater?
3. Did you want/order the dual doors or did you have no choice but to order them? I do not want them but it said I had to, crazy.
4. What model did you order Sport/Overland/Rubicon/Mojave?

Thank for any help!
What color is yours? Would be happy to dispose of those half doors?
