2023 JTR, diff locker sensor magnets?

I know how the 2021 locker set up was with the locker sensor over the magnet but this 2023 looks different and unless someone has found and cleaned that magnet, I don’t want to be yanking on bolts in there.

I know how the 2021 locker set up was with the locker sensor over the magnet but this 2023 looks different and unless someone has found and cleaned that magnet, I don’t want to be yanking on bolts in there.
I haven’t heard of 23’s being different, but I haven’t seen one open. If you have a picture of yours, I can dig up a picture of my 21, but you might already have that from your previous one.

It does look a bit different. Maybe they fixed the leaking housing issue. Are you having issues with it?
No issues. Just performed most of my oil changes on this truck. 25,500 kms on the diffs and transfer case and the previous owner didn’t change those fluids. Looked real nasty but not any more. Lockers engage properly so not worried about those. Gives me time to ask about those magnets at the dealership

They switched to hall effect sensors mid 23. I posted pictures of my sensor when I went to pot mine and made the discovery. Search in the axles section for the posting. You've got the new sensor so you're all good. Haven't heard of any issues yet with the new setup.
