2024 rubicon and 2020 sport S shock differences

Hello everybody quick question I bought 2024 Rubicon takeoff shocks and springs with 100 miles on them basically brand new. The front shocks went on no problem gave it a little bit of a lift, but the front shocks were about 3 inches too short. The 2024 Rubicon that the shocks and springs were from had a steel front bumper and hard top. Could the weight be the 3 inch difference? What are my options?
