It's functional on the 392 .....it's too bad they didn't make it functional on the Mojave.
LOL - funny you should say that - I was looking over the Mojave hood and thinking of the fully functional factory ram air my 70 Javelin had and was wondering.......... it would be a royal pain on a 3.6, but I've seen worse done. Would be fun to make it functional.
The Javelin had a vacuum motor - hit the accelerator, manifold vacuum dropped like a rock and that ram air hood flapper opened up letting cold air in at highway or track speeds. It worked.
But for these, you'd have to really come up with some duct work to make it functional. and then I ask myself as reality sinks back in - - WHY? It's a 3.6 in a JEEP, not a race vehicle.

Rubi wheel is the same physically as all the others. Just used to have colored stitching. Mid 2025 it appears they dropped the red. Plenty of 2025 have red stitching.

Mojave came with the 392 wheel for 5.5 years but with orange versus gold stitching. Jeep removed it mid 2025. The end.
PS - too bad we (me, too) didn't do this in the thread you started for that purpose........

Right now a couple of engineers at Jeep are reading this thread and saying, "Dude, they found out!" and the other engineer is saying, "YES!!!! Now slap a 23 grill on the next 50 off the line and see if they notice bro... and pass that damn bong you Bogart!"

Yep we noticed and I’ll continue to nitpick and complain about their stupidly expensive midsize trucks that Carlos and company ruined…

The only problem with that - it's not engineers that make such decisions once the design is done and proven and in production.
It's guys with pocket protectors and horn-rim glasses in an office.

Happen to have a temp Tech Authority subscription and ran a couple of 2025 Mojave X VIN's and the part number database says either silver stitching or Mayan Gold stitching can come on it.

Checked on the Rubicon X and it can come with either the Red, Silver or Mayan Gold stitching steering wheel

Just took delivery... I ordered my Mojave on March 4. MDH: 031915.

Here's the steering wheel. Orange threads are GONE. I have thread colors that match some of the other trim pieces. not white, sliver or gold...

I told my wife that I was going to trade my 2024 Mojave on a 2025 because it has a new steering wheel and a secret panel in the side of the bed.

The doc says that, with any luck, I should be eating solid foods again in 6-8 weeks!

It has small ones. not sure I want the huge ones. I used to race Formula Ford. So far I'm going to take as is. Dealer is trying to locate an orange wheel. But I may just buy one for future reference.

my thoughts. That orange thread will become darker due to the oils and dirt on your hands. The perforated leather wrap is a wear concern. I've had perforated wraps before and they don't hold up well...

The bumps... I drove 2025 Grand Cherokee with those. To be comfortable and effective you need to have both hands on the wheel in a road racers hand position. I only drive that way when I'm carving turns.

That's been my experiences as well. Solid leather is easier to keep clean and holds up better. And I don't always have spotless clean hands when I drive - grease, oils, whatever. I get in it and go.

Interesting also how air bags have changed things - it used to be "10 and 2" and now it's "9 and 3" for hand positions. I'm far far more comfortable with my hands farther down anyway.

Back in the 90s florida had an "environment impact fee" that was the same as what dealers in florida charged. People sued because a car from ga or a new car in fl has same impact. State won a couple times. Florida. It's home but it's the shady part of the USA

Wow, my 2022 shows use on the steering wheel. You can tell in the right light. I guess you have smoother hands? Or wash them before getting in the truck?

my steering wheels always collect grime. When I clean the leather the rag turns black. I shower daily and I'm not homeless ... :CWL:
It's even worn the leather a bit smooth....... and yes, it's time to use some leather cleaner on it for sure, but it's actually worn, too.
