It matters…to me anyway. I absolutely hate WHITE. Every-other vehicle around here is WHITE WHITE AND WHITE. Soooo BORING!!! Dare to be different. I’m not a fan of purple, green, or yellows on a vehicle, but I could be convinced to get one someday. My husband might not want to drive it…..😉 He’s a ‘guy’ color …grey, dark grey, light grey, any other variation of grey.
So I guess I worded my comment wrong...I was thinking this quick release parts were available in the colors listed and I didn't see any colors. Now I see the colors have absolutely nothing to do with the door removal pins. I had just woke up and it was before I had my coffee lol

A quick disconnect retrofit has been available for awhile now from the aftermarket. I do generally prefer OEM whenever possible, but I have a feeling the cost is going to be 3-4 times more for this at minimum and you'll probably have to replace the entire check arm assembly in the door unless we get luck and they kept the inner diameter the same for the pin.

Just to add to the information from the pictures, these were in the 'launch deck' that went out yesterday. This is straight from Stellantis. Sourced from Dealerconnect

Same here - never read it, no interest, but it's talked about all over the place and it's hard to miss either memes or something being said about it.

Figure it will take a month from the time you order it to getting a notice that maybe it's been shipped.

So basically we no longer have to screw this screw out anymore?

correct.. that bracket stays installed on the door frame, then pull the pin on each door, unhook the wiring and pull them off..

As soon as these are available, I'll order them and see what it'll take to retrofit them.
My guess is for cost reasons, the check arms and brackets are the same from 2018 to now, so why retool anything, just make the solution work with existing parts.

Interesting, seems like something that should have been done years ago.
I think it was mentioned, im sure there is a cheaper option at the hardware store that fits if jeep has a retrofit available

agreed. I'm sure mcmaster-carr makes what we need, just need to know the size of the one jeep uses and then I can measure it all and find one that fits.

Speaking about colours, i went to jeep.ca and priced out a 2025 fathom mojave and when i went into the dealer a day or two later that colour 1. isnt an option and 2. The salesgirl said it must've been a limited run. Now its not on there.

The door stop is a simple thing to make a quick disconnect but what I’m curious about is what they did for the door hinges. It didn’t say anything about taking the screws out. Just pull the pin an unhook the connector.

Pretty sure they did nothing on the door hinge bolts. If you watch the video closely at 1:57 they even show the bolts still in place when the door is removed and then again when reinstalled. Those are a remove once and never touch them again thing though for 99% of people who actually take their doors off.
