I’ve finally settled on a set of Patagonia MTs for the Gladiator (I think), but I’m wanting to run 295, 70, 17 on an otherwise stock sport s (not a max tow). I’ve seen a ton of threads and videos regarding running 35s and what it takes to make them fit, but what about 34s? Technically these Pats would be 33.5 inches in diameter, so I’m sure I probably won’t have issues but I thought I’d see if anyone had experience with this question.

That size fits just fine with zero lift on a stocker.

I’m wanting these same tires, would I have to get the spacers? Was there any grinding without them? Thanks

I didn’t try them without the lift spacers but I’ve seen them without spacers. Probably would be close to the fender flares without them. But you won’t need wheel spacers.

And it just looks better with the 1.5 spacers in front.

I was in a similar dilemma .... but I was looking at 285/75r17 vs the 295/70r17 (see comparison specs below). The 285/75r17 is the largest tire you can put on the gladiator without altering the vehicle in anyway from its stock form without having rubbing issues. So you shouldnt have any issues with the 295s. I didn’t take out the air dam, I know some hate it but I like it in... it doesn’t leave a gap above the bumper.

Mine is a max tow, I ended up putting a 2” spacer lift, plus front rubi springs ... which gave me an additional .75-1” in the front. Only reason I went this route is proportionally it really does just look better. Also gave me more height when putting the boat in the water, my ramp is super flat....

I attached some before and after pics, first totally stock ... second w lift and front springs.

Looks great, which 285/75/17s did you go with?
I had Toyo AT IIs on my JKU in that size and they were great, tempted to put them on my JT as well.

Falken wildpeak A/Ts. I like them a lot... they look pretty aggressive and the ride is quiet. They are a more heavy tire compared to others but I really don’t think it makes a difference.

I have the Sport S without the max tow package. I am running 285/75/17 on stock JKU rims and no lift or spacers with zero issues. They are the Yokohama Geolander MT.

That's a real nice-looking setup. How do you like the Yoko MT's so far? Any noticeable difference in road noise or lower MPG compared to the stock 245's?
