Will they clear with a 2.5 inch lift? I have a max tow with the wider axles of that makes a difference

Sure will. My 315 70 17 BFG KO2S cleared with no lift. Mine where 12.4 wide and 35 high, had no issues without a lift and they did and looked great with a 2.5" lift as well. I'm now running 37's with a 2.5" lift. Mines a Max Tow as well

No lift 315 70 17

Thanks. I like that look. Now I need to compare 35/11.50 vs 315/70

What tire are you going to run at 35 11.5 17? That's a hard one to find.

wide track axle helps so you don't need wheel spacers. I have 35x12.5x20 and clear with just a leveling kit.. well past that now but your answer is yes

Interesting thread... I am thinking I should be able to go to 35's on my stock rims without a lift on my JT Mojave without a problem or rubbing.

Yes I run a 1,.5 inch spacer with 275 80r17 = 35x10.8r17. I have a max tow with rubicon wheels. I have ran it hard thru the desert, no rubbing at all.

Man, I remember when MTRs weren’t so stupid expensive
Tell me about it!

https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Wrangler+MT/R+with+Kevlar&partnum=725QR7WMTRK

$514 a piece for the ones on mine, over $2000 for a set of 4. I wouldn't pay that much for them. I found mine on marketplace for $500 for 4 with 75% life left. They are great tires but I'd say they are no better than a mastercraft courser other than the Kevlar sidewalls. They are light for a 37, 72lbs a piece.
