I have a 2024 Rubicon and am looking to install the Method 318 wheels because I can get a good deal on them and I like the wheels. I do not have a lift but if I go that route I'm pretty solid on the Clayton 1.5 Overland, if I can get over the eye watering price. I was looking at a 35x11.5x17 tire because I don't want them to stick out past the fender flairs and to be honest, my truck is mainly a weekend driver (4k miles since January) and I would like to get into some offroading. The question I have is: with that particular wheel, do I need to look at a wider (12.5 inch) tire since its a wider wheel? Also, what type of offset should I be looking at and what about load ratings on tires? Will a wider tire with no lift cause a rubbing issue? I appreciate the input!

you can run 315s or 12.5s at +25 without sticking out past the fender. but at 0 offset (what the method 318s are) you will stick out with 12.5s. I'm purely speculating here, but 11.5s should poke at 0 offset as well

(napkin math: 315s at +25 are pretty much flush. a inch narrower tire buys you half an inch of poke, half an inch is 12.7mm. So 11.5s would be flush at +12, so 0 offset should stick out about a half inch.)

but no, you don't need to run 12.5s on a 8.5 inch wheel. 11.5s will do fine.

Look at other lift kits . Not telling ya what to do but alot of guys say Clayton springs are taller than expected and they were originally developed for overland and tend to be stiffer for heavier loading. So if you want a stiffer set up Clayton is your deal if not then look at others heard several guys talk about AEV and EVO.
Im running tera flex dual rate and love my ride.

I appreciate the info! I'm a total nube when it comes to lifts, tires, etc. I was thinking Clayton due to not wanting a huge lift since most of my driving is on road. I'll look into other options if I decide to go that route.
