First I’d like to say thanks for all the help so far on this great forum. I know there are a lot of posts out there about 37 inch tires fitting with a leveling kit on the Rubicon Gladiator with aftermarket wheels. But I’ve seen mixed comments in regards to whether or not the factory Rubicon wheels will work with 37 inch tires and a leveling kit. More specifically if anyone his tried the 37 inch Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT tires on factory rubicon wheels. Needing to make a purchase next week and would like to keep the factory wheels but I’m not sure if that’s possible. I would rather not pay to have everything mounted only to find out it doesn’t work and that I need to know find new wheels. Thanks in advance for any help.

Here’s my take. They are very aggressive sidewall tires. If nobody can confirm what you want to know. Pay just to put one tire on the front…. But IMO it will more than likely rub due to that sidewall… heck even have them pull out any 12.5 tire vs the Mt Baja boss at… and you will see how much thicker the sidewalls are.

Ps… awesome tire choice… I have them

I’ve run 37x12.50 Hankook MTs on a JK with stock wheels and wheel spacers, and I have a friend running 37x12.50 Cooper STT Pros on stock JL 392 wheels (17x7.5 +44) with 1.75” wheel spacers. No problems.

most tire mfg don't recomend running 12.50 width on anything less than 8 inch wide rim.

you said that’s what you have on your vehicle? Do you have any pics and what lift are you running?

Looking at your form of the build how was that 2 1/2 inch spacer left you had on there?

Well it lifted the truck to get the bigger tires… but drivability got to be an issue. I’m a firm believer to do a complete lift and at the time the lift o wanted wasn’t out so it had to do.

Too many people are recommending the mopar 2 inch lift. Problem is then it still isn’t level. Thought about like I said just the inch and a half with a 37’s but I know I want more. Don’t want to go bigger than 2 1/2.

Look at my build, I had a Rubicon with a 2 inch lift and 3/4" level up front on 37s - stock wheel.

Looked level and clean.

Ran 32 PSI, but were Grapplers.

Mobile at the moment otherwise would grab the photos, sorry.

Here is mine with factory rubicon wheels, Mickey Thomson Baja Boss AT 37’s, but I’m running spidertrax spacers. Zero rubbing at full steering lock. They ride great. 700 miles so far. Fantastic on snow and glare ice.
