Is there really a difference between 37s and 38s? Yes I know 38 is one more inch than 37, but actual physical tire size lives in a realm of excessive tolerance and fudge factoring. One inch of theoretical diameter is one-half inch from any point on the tire and that's pretty negligible since we know how all over the map actual tire sizes are.

38s are pretty limited. Toyo and Mickey Thompson don't make them. I'm looking for 38s for a 2-door JL I have ordered. I think I'll go with Falken Wildpeak MT in a 38x13.50R17 size, but I'm still interested to see what other people are using. I've got time, the Jeep hasn't even been built yet.

37s are so last week though. 40s are actually the new 37s, so 38s are being pretty conservative.

I'm running 38x13.5x17 Nitto Trail Grappler but with a 4.5" MC.
Before i did the fender delete i was touching liner, this was after i removed the fender liner. Now i only hit the bump stops. oh and i am Diesel so little extra weight for that. Also, my Profile pic shows the stance better on ground with fender liners still in.
Looking to go to Mickey Thompson Baja Boss Pro XS in a 40" but they do have them in a 38 as well.

I love the flexy. Also in a diesel running a 4.5ā€ lift with the Nitto trail grapplers in 38x13.5x17s.
However, mine is an overland and I’m running the EVO long arm kit and front coil overs. I have not had any fender rub with the mine but honestly haven’t got her all flexed out yet. I am doing a liner delete this weekend then going out into the wild. Depending on how she goes and may switch to a different fender if needed.
Happy National Jeep Day!!! OIIIIIIIO

Very clean setup, interesting yours seams to have more clearance from the side profile picture. Would that be the coilovers that makes the difference? I would like to go to a long arm setup at some point as well, before i did the fender delete, i was very close to rubbing the rearof the fender liner.

I did went with the Metalcloak Liner delete and the Quake LED Smoked turn signal brackets.

Good question. All the lifts seem to have a variation depending on many different factors. I went 38’s thinking the 40’s wouldn’t fit since I didn’t have rubicon fenders. Knowing I was goIng to run stock fenders for a while I figured 38’s would still work. Now my thoughts are I could squeeze 40’s with just deleting the fender liners. But, that’s all speculation until I get her flexed out.
