Except it's not, or it would be done.
Tell that to amw, bruiser, and all the guys who've literally bolted wrecked JL 392 powertrains into their JTs. The testing and certification hasn't been done, but you can literally go to the parts catalog and order every part you need and then bolt in. Our frame isn't different in the front half period. That's why springs, shocks, even long arm kits from a JL all bolt right in up front. It's not a unicorn or anything that needs redesigned. It would need certified, crash tested, etc for Jeep to do it, which doesn't make sense for end of life cycle models.

I wish I had ‘FU’ money I’d build a ‘what Jeep should be building’ 5.7L. Would be fun to see how it performs day-to-day & towing.

Cool beans, totes explains why they haven't, and won't slap a 392 in er.

I guess each month we need to remind folks why there never was, and never will be, a factory V8 in a Gladiator. Different vehicle, different use case. Even the brief EcoDiesel option was heavily derated for towing.

Yup - and you find the hemi JLU is not rated to tow as much as a 3.6 JLU. I've tried and tried to get that across and you get "but but but ........." and "not everyone tows". Well, enough DO tow that it was very important to Jeep to make sure it could say "best in class" year after year. Yes, you can say when properly equipped and you still get dopes trying to prove they know better and then bitching if something goes wrong. Imagine the bent frames when someone assumes - hey, more engine, more power, I can tow a LOT more!!.
People think emotionally, not logically.
