Some people cant stand it when alot of people have an interest in something that they dont like or dont approve of especially after telling the forum how great and knowledgeable they are about everything automotive related. Arrogant people dont like it when you disagree with them.
This is what blows my mind on this whole damn thread. Not debating if Jeep will do this or not but the being told because they dont want it means you shouldnt want it.

Like I dont give a crap what your needs are. If they put a 5.7 in a gladiator with a markup similar to the 1500 I would trade in my ecoD today for it.

I would add that I believe the EcoDiesel is Chrysler's own marketing name, like Power stroke is Fords and Duramax is GMs.

The 4cly turbo diesel in the Chevy Colorado's was also VM engine, yet GM called it a Duramax.

Meaning nothing says they Chrysler can't slap eco-diesel on another Diesel engine by another manufacture that is in no way related to the VM engines.
And the big Duramax is an Isuzu or was originally when it first went into production
