41.22 Hitch Slider Loose Fit?

Hi all, just installed but it’s very loose. Rattles around. I wrapped it electrical tape to stop the rattling. Wondering if thats normal, because it seems quite undersized. Have used other items in my Mopar hitch receiver without issues. Sent msg to vendor but got no reply. Some nice alternatives recently posted that are a lot cheaper.

We all have issues with sloppy oversized hitch receivers.
For a regular hitch ball we use clamps to get rid of the slop. Doesn't look like they will work for a slider? A clamp will hang lower. Search for slop eliminator of a different design.

Slop is irrelevant in almost all cases. Especially for a slider.

The only reason to even think about it is if it gets your OCD going.

Gorilla tape if small loose or a tight wrap of sliced bicycle tube if too much more slop. Works for me.

My hitch skid stays pretty wuiet, but it’s reasonably heavy welded 1/4” steel. I concur that wrapping it should fix it. The wrap will need to be redone depending on how often you hit your skid, but that’s not a big deal imo.
