just ordered mopar triple layer protect film was $207 my guy said he will put on for $45 OTHERS AROUND HERE SAID ITS A WINSHIELD SAVER..

Be sure to follow up! I have Gorilla Glass on my JKU. I think I'm on the 3rd and ready for a 4th. The only upside is the 1 year free replacement. I'm outside of that.
My Mojave also has the Gorilla Glass. I got a chip on my first good road trip. It hasn't spread any yet.

While not the same application, Gorilla glass did not work for phones, so I'm confused why anyone would think it would work for a windshield.

I have owned CJ's, YJ's, and TJ's all with similar upright windshields and none of them had this problem.

Same boat. Sorry to make this my first post, but my TJ had it's original windshield for 16 years before a golf ball sized rock left a hole in the exterior layer and cracked the inside layer too. The 2021 JL I had right before my Gladiator got a new windshield yearly until just last year. Single small chips would always end up cracking across at least half of the windshield.
