 Less than a Year and just cracked my windshield again. Not sure when something hit it. Hit a bump last night and bam, I got a 8 inch crack going up and over from the bottom of the windshield right in my field of view.

I was cleaning my windshield the other day and thought, geesh, this thing just isn't cleaning up, look at all of those spots.....
Those spots are pits and sandblasting marks.
I've driven vehicles 80,000 miles and more before I had that many marks in the glass. This is the worst glass I've ever seen in any car or truck. It's actually almost as bad as the windshield in my 2004 WJ with over 127,000 miles on it!
I have far less than 10% of the miles, and a fraction of the age, the JT sits a lot higher and yet - the glass is almost as badly pitted as that old Grand Cherokee.
I'd compare it to the glass in my 73 Javelin with 100,000 miles.

Jeep has a glass problem. I've never been on gravel, ever, with it and have never been off-road with it. Only town and highway and country 2-lane blacktops. Usually not in much traffic.
The marks on this glass are shocking. tiny pits and marks all over it.

Mine cracked but I think I managed to save it so far using one of the windshield repair kits. Have taken a few other hits but no major damage just pitting more like mentioned in above

I got in it this morning and got about 4 miles down the road and hit a small bump and now the crack is more than halfway across the windshield. That sucks. I was hoping to at least wait 3 or 4 weeks before having to waste time on it. I rode around in my JKU for darn near 2yrs with a cracked windshield and did a lot of off roading and it didn't progress this fast. I don't live near or gone on any rock roads. We do got a lot of construction going on so maybe the dump trucks are to blame, I don't know. Another $100 to a windshield in less than a year that's $200 total in 11 months of ownership.
