I tried searching but just cannot find anyone that has the same issues as me.
I have just had 4:88 gears installed into my 2020 Sport S Manual 6 Speed. The truck will drive fine for just a few minutes, then errors will start. The gear indicator will go blank, the cruise control (both normal and adaptive) will disable and not function and the backup camera will not work at all. Cycling the key will bring all function back for a few minutes but once the truck is moving for about a mile or 2, same thing happens.
I have a Tazer and have set the gear Ratios to the 4:88 and have confirmed that the settings have stuck. I have cleared the codes with the Tazer but have a few codes that seem to return every time. U0401-00, p2129-17, U1514-87. Also oddly I am seeing "cannot communicate with TCM" when trying to read codes with the Tazer.
Does the engine need to be running to communicate with the TCM? I had none of these issues before the regear.

Sounds like a real pain. I just had my MT 2022 Rubicon regeared 6 weeks ago. Didn’t experience anything like that.

Clear the codes. Then let it do a full sleep cycle (Like 5 minutes). Key on. Re-enter the settings in the Tazer menu. perform the full reset, 2 times. let the vehicle sleep again for 5 minutes. drive it, all the way through 6th gear, HAVE to use 6th. cruise down the highway for like 2-3 miles. Yes most likely will get codes. turn it off, clear the codes. Hopefully it's good after that. If not, carefully make sure the T-Case, tire size, and gears are all set correctly. JT/JL's are SUPER picky on the manuals with this stuff

How can I confirm my transfer case ratio? Its a Sport S. Also is there an easier way to disconnect the Aux Battery other than digging it out. Looks like I need to go thru the wheel well to reach it. I only want to disconnect it.

I have just completed the same process of re-gearing my 21 manual 6 speed to 4.88.
I had this done at a shop, and I also had the Tazer installed.
The shop used an hp tuner, and that seemed to cause a problem. I had the same results with the rear camera and gear indicator.
The fix was to unmarry the Tazer and disconnect the positive battery connection. And wait 5 minutes.
Then marry the Tazer check the gear ratio, tire size, and transfer case ratio (default 2.72?), then do a full reboot and 2 sleep cycles. Take a 20 minute drive to allow the sensors to settle with the new settings.
Problem was resolved. I had rear camera, Gear indicator, third brake light, and Gremlins gone.
Seems like a conflict with the shops tuner and my Tazer.
Thanks
David

Went though this myself. Here's what you need to do:

Disconnect BOTH batteries for several minutes, then reconnect.

Drive at least 60mph in 6th gear for over 1 min.

Your computer detects the new ratio and will reset, your gear indicator will work and the engine lights will go out, etc. This is purpose-built to detect a difference in ratio vs RPM and it confuses your computer. You need to re-teach it.

There's actually a service bulletin about it somewhere...

Update..... I tried the above, disconnect the batteries and allow the system to reset. This did bring back most of the functionality. I got the gear indicator, cruise and backup camera back.
I do however have the start stop disabling after about 15 mins of driving.

Also had this issue with my gladiator i went to 5.13 and had issues with the jeep going into limp mode. I didn't have the tazer updated...my bad, and had to get it checked out by the dealership. After i updated the tazer they factory reset the software and used the tazer to set the gears and 37's and it worked perfectly
