37 s with the manual = 5:13 minimum . unless you never take your off road truck off road .
If you start with 285s and move to 325s and original gearing is 3.73, then the math says that a 4.00 will match the original final ratio. But, if you want to rock crawl somewhere between 4.56 and 4.88 will get you low and still have some semblance of gas mileage, since prices will be staying between 4 and 5 dollars a gallon for sometime - that's 80-100 bucks a refill of 21 gallons. If mileage isn't an issue, go for it. I have an MT too, so gear selection isn't an issue, and 1st gear is pretty low. My $0.02.That’s what the local off-road shop was recommending. I’m not interested in rock crawling but I take my Jeep out on the beach almost every weekend so 5.13 may be the way to go.
