I know there is a lot out there about this but have not found any real answer on the alpine head unit. For those out there that are using the SSV works or Jljt pods or found something that fits in stock speaker ports on the stock alpine stereo sound bar what speakers are you using? I would like to use 2-3 ohm speakers do not want to loose what little power I have. I’m using the infinity 3 1/2’s in dash right now and they are a lot better Thanks for any help.

Factory is all you need. Don’t change them.

My ram 3500 had the same unit except 5- 3/12’s , 4 6x9’s & a sub all single driver speakers and maybe a little more power. I replaced all the 3 1/2’s withe the infinity 2 ways and same with the 6x9’s. One of my friends had the same truck but with the Harmon Kardon 18 speakers which in reality is the same as mine originally but with two way speakers and a more powerful amp we both agreed mine sounded better. These units sound a lot better with some highs which the single drivers just can’t do even with EQ. The problem with some is that they are replacing speakers with 4 ohm and loosing power because of it In these Alpine 8.4’s. With the 3 ohms you don’t seem to loose as much to bad there are not any quality 2 ohms out there. And if I remember right checking original speakers they were about 2.5 ohms. And I know some will say just replace the whole sound system but I think these alpines sound just fine with the right speakers sorry about the long spiel.
