HA Gladiator
New gladiator owner here but my previous vehicle was a Grand Cherokee Which had uconnect. I have had my gladiator HA a week and a half and since I have had it I have been experiencing problems With the infotainment screen. When i start the Jeep in the morning whether it’s remote start or push button start and it’s below 40 or 45 degrees the infotainment screen stays black. I get no sound, I have tried the screen off button and radio button and nothing. some days it pops on after 5 mins and some days it takes 15 to 20 minutes. On days it has been above 50 and I start it up the screens boots up like normal with no issues. Has anyone else had this issue or heard of others having this issue? I have also read the threads of the CarPlay/unconnect issues where you take a phone call and CarPlay crashes. I have also had the screen randomly flashing to black and then comes back. Of course the dealer didn’t find any error codes when I took it to them to look at. If There is any insight on these issues or a fix I would love to here then before I take it up to the dealer for them to tell me they can’t find any problems.

I read an auto article a few months ago that said the number one issue with most makes is - infotainment! Apparently the desire to give it all to customers and customer demand to have it all and have it now is ahead of the technology. It's not just Jeep from reading that, it's others as well.

That being said, there are multiple TSBs/company communications from Jeep regarding these systems.

Generally temp related electronic issues that get better with warmer temperatures is usually due to faulty (cold) soldering issues. With the push away from lead solder, this is a more common occurrence.

I think your only reasonable solution is to make a warranty claim for replacement.

Thanks for the information. the next few days in the Carolina’s will be warm so I’ll Wait to start this process with the dealer.

Thanks for the information. the next few days in the Carolina’s will be warm so I’ll Wait to start this process with the dealer.
I have a 2020 just had mine replaced under warranty .
If that happens and you have SIRIUS make sure the dealer contacts them and gives them the new radio id.
Found out SAT. coming back from MICHIGAN my dealer did not.
