Right now I am seriously looking at the Rock Hard Al bumper. Made in the USA and 1500
Savvy, next venture, hepta and evo are the best options clearance wise in that order if that matters to you. All us made

  1. The bumper itself is light, so even a lady can pick it up and install it alone
Look, I'm not the most sensitive guy in the world but even I know that's a serious faux pas to say that.

If you don't know what a faux pas is, it translates roughly to "public fuckup."

I had been looking at the Next Venture a while back, but it's heavier than the Rock Hard. The Saavy I don't really care for. The Hepta is steel from what I could find, I do like the Evo so I am trying to figure out how much it weighs.

I’m no materials expert. I get the benefits of keeping weight down but wouldn’t an aluminum bumper be self-defeating when you consider the purpose of a bumper?

No, not until it gets used as a bumper for the first time.

Half-joking aside, yes, it is. This is what has kept me away from aluminum bumpers. Aluminum is "sticky" too; rocks and metal will drag more on it than they would on steel.
