8k off MSRP of $58k on rubicon doable?

There’s a dealer near me with a rubicon for $58k. They have 7 rubicons, 1 Mojave, 1 Willy, 2 altitude.

Another Dealer 20m away has 2x Mojave, 2x overland, 3x rubicon, 3x sport, 8x willy
There’s ones about an hour away, where each dealer (4 dealers) have at least 5 rubicon’s each.
End of month is quickly approaching and I know 2023 deliveries will be around October.

It was doable for me in December 2021, as that was the kind of deal I received for a Rubicon off the lot.

unsure about the current climate however, guessing YMMV depending a slew of factors- geographical location, specific dealer, etc.

Def will depend on rebates, dealer, and options. It was like pulling teeth to get 5k off on mine a couple of months ago. Like you said if you go after a left over 22 when the 23s hit the lots may see a huge discount. The days of the monster rebates imo are gone.

Wife and I are currently looking for something on someone's lot in FL Panhandle. Dealers here won't play one bit. Everything is list price. If you have a rebate, then great but that's it. Same story in Al & GA.

Probably ordering one from Gupton and play the waiting game. Straight 8% off invoice.

If your goal is to close a deal the end of the month, I’d start putting feelers out immediately to get a sense of who is willing to deal.

Send out a handful of inquiries to dealers in the area and see what happens. I’d be surprised if you get back anything but “come on in, sit down, and talk with us” type responses. Doing that is a good way of gauging whether it’s worth your time to drop by though.

Pick a stock number on their lot off the website, email their internet sales department, and ask what their out the door price is. I had to go ~100 miles to get mine (local dealers weren’t budging).

Alternatively, there are two dealers on the forum that supposedly have decent deals.

Curious about this as well. Probably not in the market for a rubicon but I’m in Houston area and there is massive stock around me. Surely someone’s dealing off sticker price.

The Gupton thread title is a little misleading. They aren’t 8% off invoice anymore. Back in June they quoted me about 5% off FWP, about 6% off FWP with Tread Lightly, or about 7% off FWP with Tread Lightly and dealer arranged financing. Still a great deal, but not 8%. YMMV.

@Blitzinger this is a different scenario, but just for reference my Gupton order worked out to about $8,086 off a $71,495 MSRP. That was the out the door cash price, which included an unexpected $1,000 rebate.

Found a mojave for 50k with only extra being Automatic TransmIssion. Would still want cash off because that’s just MSRP price. But at 47/48, it’s somewhat tempting.

We got 2K of and 0% financing for 72 months. The 0% is big now as interest rates keep climbing. That’s in KY on a High Altitude model.

22 JTR MSRP was 59k, Paid 51 and some change. Came out to 56 ish OTD. Dulles Jeep in Leesburg VA. Bought in May.
