Wife and I were planning our vacation this year and wanted to see and do quite a lot out west. There was so much that we took two weeks off. I shared some pics in Glamor Shots and Expedition rigs but thought I’d drop them all here along with a story line. Hope you all enjoy.
First day was a long drive from Oil City LA to Albuquerque NM. It took a bit longer than normal because I stopped everywhere my wife wanted to. Her vacation too she said. 😊

First stop was at the Albuquerque KOA. Uneventful but that is a good thing. Next morning we headed west to Petrified National Forest. Beautiful sights.

Trail wasn’t too difficult. It had one obstacle and a steep drop. Mostly scenic. We were amazed at the size of the cactus! The post stubs for the line poles are visible too.

Looking for a place to camp we scored at Lake Pleasant, $15 tent sight. Also had a 02:00 visitor who awoke us pawing at our equipment totes. As @Mules said, “Terrifying and hilarious”.

Found a camp site on some BLM land, beautiful. Can’t walk through the woods where I live without vines and saw briers grabbing you. I was blown away with the beauty.
