From NW Louisiana to Silverton, CO to Moab and back in 10 days

What a great trip.

Such a good time. Everybody was nice. Weather was perfect. Need to wait another month so all the trails would be open in CO though

I keep remembering things I want to share.
We scaled the JT in Cortez, CO. It weighed 7,240 lbs, I had just poured in my 11 gallons of spare diesel so we were about 7,350 most of the trip. That is a heavy girl!
Also, the highway ride was smooth. Think mid 70's Cadillac smooth. On the trail the shocks could have more dampening. The head shake got a little annoying at times. I would welcome suggestions on something adjustable. We bought a portable toilet off Amazon that works fine and takes up almost no space.
Need a portable shower and a good inverter that will run my coffee pot. Other than that it was a successful first mission.

Love that area (Mesa Verde), hit it on our way back from a Colorado trek similar to yours last year.

I love Moab and the Silverton area. My trips get better every time we go. Really enjoy taking someone new and playing tour guide. These spots are perfect for jeeps.

Been to the Ouray/Silverton area multiple times on a dual sport motorcycle, only once in a Jeep. Took my Gladiator to Moab in June 2021, absolutely loved it!!! Can't wait to go back!!
