I did it last year .. Baton Rouge to Tuktoyuktuk, Canada ( Arctic Ocean) .. I took 3 weeks to get there and 5 weeks back through Alaska.
That's awesome. I'll be sure to reach out if I have questions. My wife and I can take about 6 weeks off work, so that would be our limit. I'm glad that you got to really enjoy it, though. If we did the trip, then we'd most likely pull a camper with some moderate off-road capability.

I can't take that much time off from work. But the week I retire we will be headed North!

Eight years.....:(

On a brighter note, my 2020 JL EcoD is due for service at 97,500 miles. I've got an Amsoil oil analyzation kit coming and will share the results.

Those 8 years will go fast!

Wow! How did you put so many miles on the JL?

I've got an Amsoil oil analyzation kit coming and will share the results.
Fantastic. I'm on my first oil change with Amsoil MS. We just got back from a 3,000-mile towing trip with the 2020 Ram EcoDiesel. Normally, I would have gone through a quart of Pennzoil platinum in that timeframe. With Amsoil, the oil is still registering in the hash mark on the dipstick!

I changed oil in JT before I left for trip, 4,019 miles and level never moved.
Amsoil Signature Series 5w40.

My wife drives the JL. Her last job was 80 miles round trip 5 days a week. It added up quickly.

When I was in Tuktoyuktuk there was a jeep and bronco with guys from Reserve, La. …. They did round trip in 10 days (they had a week off) Seems too fast imo .. gotta enjoy the unbelievable scenic drive

I think I have missed my time. The thought of tenting for many days at a time sounds painful to me now. I am 74 now and the mornings are just not the same as they were a few years ago. If you can do it now , go now.

There are tents and then there are tents. The cot mounted Swags have come a long way in the arena of tents. Pretty much just the same as getting out of bed in the morning.
