I know this is a bit stupid, but has anyone with the 5" base radio/instrument cluster figured out how to start your truck and have the time displayed somewhere right away?

Only way I've figured out is to start the truck, turn on the radio, wait for the Uconnect warning then accept it, mute the radio and then leave it on radio or select compass. Seems a little kludgy if that really is the only way... especially if you're already running late and just want to know how late you are.

You can customize your display in the settings to have the clock stay on by your fuel gauge.

So the 5" radio has the simpler instrument cluster and I haven't found a clock option in there - but maybe I missed it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I wear a watch
True dat. Guess I just expect it somewhere visible when I drive.

I have the 7" and I think the clock is absurdly small on it, and when I had android auto connected it was in a completely different location looking at google maps. I feel your pain on this to a degree. I'm going to try what the poster up there said put it in the cluster, that's a great spot for me as the driver.

If you're near the triangle we should get together and bro out over our trucks

Yep, I'm in the RTP area. I'll hit you up. Happy to geek out.

There's the clock on the center display, the watch on my arm, and the display on my phone. I always remote start, for cabin comfort, so I don't have to hit the accept and wait for the radio to boot.
