Adding 12Volt.Solutions Remote Start

Does anyone have experience installing a remote start system from 12Volt.solutions? I didn’t realize that my Gladiator didn’t have remote start until we were leaving the dealer. The dealer wants a crazy amount to install a factory system in the Jeep. I bought the system from 12Volt and it installs really easily, but the programming is for a keyed ignition, and I have push button. I’m not getting things to work Like their videos show. I’m hoping someone has some bit of knowledge that will help me get this working.

im not too familiar with their product, i have used others with a push button start and factory fob. does this one require you to send the unit back to them for more programming?

It does. There is a preliminary programming step I have to do which involves inserting key, turning on/off a few times until device shows ready. But my push button start isn’t doing what their video shows should happen with the key.

The factory systems tie into the truck's security system - there are several places in the BCM that tell it if it has remote start (so you didn't buy the cold weather package?)
It has to lock the doors, and a message appears on the screen once you get in that you have to push the button to continue to operate it. It's programmed to shut down after xx minutes and allow only xx restarts remotely.

That remote start sounds like it's for older systems - did they say directly it would work with 2020 and later Jeeps? If not.........

Your push button isn't going to operate like a key switch - very different animal.
You may have to use an app or device to tell the truck it has remote start. There's several lines in the configurations of these that mention remote start.

Why not contact their support? It's their baby - they sold it to you and need to assure you it will absolutely work with your specific vehicle, and explain how to configure when there is no key.

Thanks, it is supposed to work with 2022 models and moels with push button start. I have contacted 12Volt, but they only work weekdays and was hoping to have this working today. I was hoping that. Someone had already gone through this and had an idea about what I was missing. No, I do not have the cold weather package. I was too excited that it was a color I wanted, and the price they were willing to agree upon. A couple of the dealers I looked at were adding market value to a few of the models and the dealer I purchased from didn’t hesitate to take below sticker. Thanks for your suggestion and advice.

I am stuck trying to complete stage 1. I send it to them for stage 2. They have a remote option, it is an additional $165 and I still haven’t completes Stage 1.

I guess i‘ll have to be patient and wait until Monday to finish. All of their instructions are clear and well documented, I’m sure I am just missing something. The rest of the process has been overly simple…
