Nope .... I used the switch as a template, purposely made the hole smaller and then worked my way around trimming carefully until it fit
Or, as they say in wood-working: "sneak up on it".

Thanks for the help, guys! Much appreciated.

I'm working through this slowly and am confused on a couple things. I'm also working on a new spreadsheet to consolidate all of the wiring additions, pins, wires (with lengths) and Mopar parts needed in one file. Yeah... OCD.

The front doors have jumpers listed but the rears do not. Where do these jumpers go in the front? Are they used to "jump" from the body side, through the door strap/loom and into the door or are they used somewhere else?

My 2023 only has 2 wires in the rear door wiring that goes through the door strap/loom but all wires are present in the body side connector. Will only the door wiring (part numbers 68312445AG and 68312444AG) suffice for the rear wiring? Plus the latches of course.

I'd be interested in a copy of the spreadsheet, if your willing to share it.

if its the mopar jumpers, they will attach to the door harness for the switch, light, and mirror controls.

Yes. how may wires do you have in the xy600 connector? if its like mine, this is where the majority of the work will be (xy600, xy650, 315 & 313)

Just want to give a shout out to Enclavet, I just completed the install of the power door locks and proximity setup on my 2021 sport. Everything works as it should. THANK YOU!

Hi all,

I have a 2023 Gladiator Sport - just wanting to confirm that just wiring is required, no door lock relay module/alarm module is required?

Thanks!

If you don't already have power locks, then at the very minimal you WILL need to replace the lock latches/actuators in each door and then add the door harnesses.

If you already have the full body-side harness going to the doors then other than programming the BCM with JSCAN etc.. then that's it. If you dont' have the full harness then you need to run additional wiring from the various connectors as detailed in this thread.

Hi all,
I am new to this forum and read all the posts I could find about adding electric door locks to my new (to me) 2022 stock Sport. I found I could live with the manual windows but really missed electric locks from my previous ride.

I just completed installing the "kit" with prefabricated wiring harness from A-1, and love it. The writeup in this thread from jeep1 to install locks as factory would have been my preference, but I don't think I have the full stock wiring harness connectors on my jeep. The A-1 kit was generally a breeze to install, but still took me the better part of two days, on-and-off, to complete. It includes an "alarm brain (Avital)", but no other relays or car programing is required.

As this kit is origially geared to be installed in a Wrangler, there were a few minor glitches, but overall instructions were easy to understand.

I don't want to hijack this thread to talk about A-1 so thought about starting a separate thread only for A-1 install if anyone is interested. The only thing I can't find good information on for my install is how to wire the parking lights to flash on lock/unlock using the Avital wiring. A-1 says it's not recommended, but I thinking it can be done with a diode and/or a resistor added before tapping light wires.

Quick update ... after a lengthy backorder delay, I finally got the wiring harness and lock assembly to put a power lock in the tailgate. Easy enough install but no luck. Guessing I don't have the full wiring running to the rear of the truck. :(

Ah well, something to ponder when the weather is warmer and I feel like checking every connector for missing pins :)
Did you ever get this to work? I have mine locking, but I can't get it to unlock.

I did not .. ended up having to sell the Gladiator when we moved back to Canada. If you can get to lock, unlocking should also work.. try flipping the wires and see if it now unlocks (but not lock) ... if I remember correctly, its just two wires, 12V on one locks, 12V on the other unlocks .. .so it sounds like you might have the "unlock" wire as a ground and not the unlock wire.

Curious if anyone was ever able to get the tailgate locks working. Looking to tackle that next. Judging from the diagrams 2 wires might be required from XY551A to XY511A.
I got the lock function to work, but not the unlock so far.

Yup, just two wires. I'll try swapping them.
