Adding remote lock to SMARTCAP via tailgate wire and valet security help.

I am getting ready to install electronic locks on my SMARTCAP. I want to tap into the tailgate remote lock wire to so this. Anyone know the best place to find this wire to tap into it before I start digging around?

ALSO..... I want to add a valet mode/switch/device/relay to disable the remote tailgate (and SMARTCAP) unlock when I leave my fob with a valet or similar. Any thoughts?

I don’t let valets park my vehicles. A few years back, in MI, a “valet” while working for a dealership, ran over and killed a person while shuffling cars around. The vehicle was in for service. Come to find out, the “kid” didn’t know how to drive a stick! The family sued, and the courts found the vehicle owner responsible, even though he was nowhere around, but he was the “insured”. The case went on for years, and I’m not sure it is resolved yet. I’ll park my own vehicle, thanks anyway.
