Has anyone tried this. Just want a little more sound, but like the idea of the stock air box. I also like doing maintenance so it comes with the dry washable filter.

If all you are looking for is more / better induction noise, then you will probably be happy.

Interesting design. Looks like the filter has more surface area and the intake tube removes the silencer/baffle thing. Probably get better sound with negligible performance improvements. I love a good closed box intake though.

Edit: you can get it cheaper at Summit.

Love how it's called "induction system" to make it sound fancy.
It's a damned air filter and tube. Not a lot that can be done other than remove the parts that quiet things down to give that natural intake growl.
If they could change the length of the tube and do some tuning, might help a teeny bit. Otherwise there's pretty much nothing can be done but change the sound.

I'm interested for the sound. Plus, I had an AFE on my turbo car before, and I liked it a lot. In that application, it did add a few ponies, and was required for my stage 2+ tune. But on the NA jeep, which pretty much already has a CAI from the factory, it probably won't add much. But the growl will be nice.

I was not looking for any performance gains. Just looked like it might give a nice sound without being obnoxious like a lot of the other ones. It’s also on sale now at summit

I have it and just run the stock filter in the stock box. i just wanted to clean up the the engine bay a little bit to make room. Dont really notice too big of a sound change but then again it could be just because i have a exhaust already and dont hear much from the engine bay.
