After Market Remote Starters, Extra wear on locking solenoids??? 2X, 3X lock button?

Looks like the 395.00 Mopar after market remote starter requires 2 pushes of the lock button to start your engine. Companies like Start-X and now Kleinn require 3X push lock button. Hoe many are requited for the factory installed Rem. Starter?

Is 3X causing increased wear on lock solenoids? And does this alone almost justify the higher price of the mopar unit?

Any suggestions welcome. Watched the video this AM for th Klien install and does not look near as clen and easy as the Mopar and the Start-X and Mopar. Kleinn and Start-X require PC use to flash something? Not sure of the Mopar does or if the Mopar requires a visit to the Dealer??

Factory installed remote start requires 2 presses of the middle button on the FOB. I would suggest installing the Mopar kit. There's a recent post from someone who had a non-Mopar kit installed, and it has some glitch with the truck lights.

The Mopar resellers list the kit for around $345. If a computer update is needed, Jscan, AlfaOBD, or a Tazer should be able to do it. Ask your dealer, they may give you a decent price on the kit and the install.
