I can't find this for sale on their site. Did they discontinue it? This is the exact one I wanted to order because of how well it fit.
I spoke to them- its just backordered at the moment with no timeframe for when it could be for sale again. She said that they vastly underestimated how popular the gladiator model would be

How are you liking the outlander now that you have had it for a little while? Any regrets vs. going the hard top or soft topper (brand) route? Thanks!

At almost a year in I am super happy with the Outlander topper and the customer service. I live in the san diego area, so typically I use the bed for hauling camping supplies, beach stuff, surfboard and of course the occasional home depot run. Since it's dry 95% of the year i rarely have the sides or back window on the bed and just run the top. There hasn't been too much fade in the color, I've been using their cleaner to help protect it.

One mistake I made a few weeks ago (and this is there the customer service comes in..) I left my truck parked in between my house and the neighbors house and I inadvertently melted a hole in the top and drivers side window on the topper. It was a particularly sunny day and the reflection off my neighbors window was strong enough to melt the topper and the window... see pics below. I wouldn't have believed it had I not almost set a micro fiber towel on fire two weeks prior in the same fashion. lesson learned, I wash my truck at the self service car wash from now on.

So after some tears and cuss words, I called Agri-cover, explained the situation and asked about buying replacement parts. And within a few days and some back and forth on email they actually decided to send me a brand new topper for free as long as I covered shipping. I was truly impressed with their team and speed at which they handled the issue. I have the new topper on now, and it's just as nice as the original.

So with price, customer service and versatility in mind, I def recommend this topper.

Awesome, thanks for the write-up! I have a lomax bed cover and am digging it and have had a good customer service experience as well. Looking for a little additional space so checking this out. Rad rig.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but I am seriously considering the Agri-Cover Outlander.

My German Shepherd, Rosie, started riding in the bed a month ago out of necessity. Turns out she LOVES it back there! But this being the Pacific Northwest, I will need to provide shelter in the rain as autumn approaches.

I looked at the Bestop Supertop, Softtopper and the Agri-Cover Outlander.

What I like about the Outlander:
  1. It has see-through windows in all four sides, and the side and back curtains can be removed. Seems like the most convenient setup for a dog.
  2. It looks better overall than the other two. The Agri-Cover has a squatted, sloping back look that flatters Gladiator's looks the best. The Bestop looks the dorkiest IMO.
  3. The price. This is the most reasonably priced of all three alternatives.
Question for those who own this top: any regrets getting it? Does the vinyl get too hot in the sun? Anything I should know before pulling the trigger?

A few shots of Rosie in the back of the truck

I’ve had mine on for over two years now, no issues that I would try to persuade anyone away from buying. Panels do not get that hot, easy to retract and put back on, durable (only have two knicks where I hit some branches) and color has held up.

Went ahead and ordered an Outlander soft topper from Agri-Cover.

Thanks everyone for the feedback!

Have it on a 2020 Ford Ranger and like it better than the other two. When it folds up it is up out of the bed.If you want to take it off it is harder than to other two. Some guy around here have it on their Gladiators and looks good.Mine fits real tight. Also I sealed the seams with a seem sealer and no leaky yet in sunny SoCal.amazon.com/dp/B000O71L6Q?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1

Yeah, I saw that it is water resistant but not water proof.

What seams did you seal...?

Thanks!

The seams on the top edge all the way around. The truck is garaged but has sat in the rain a few times during the day.I believe I got the idea from Soft toppers website. They sold that sealer for their tops. One more thing, cleaning the windows between the cab is harder because the way the topper folds up towards the cab.I use an extendable dusting stick with a micro fiber towel sprayed with Plexus taped to it.Plexus is hard to find now,but there are others out there.

I received my Agri-Cover Outlander. Took about 2.5 hours to install.

I admit, it was a bit of a bitch to install, especially running the plastic "bar" into the channel.

Overall design is very good; quality of materials looks good, but quality assurance is so-so.

For instance:
  1. One of the bows arrived with a big, deep scratch on the paint. Fortunately, it is in a spot that is under the fabric top
  2. It appears they ran out of washers; one of the washers that came with the clamps was twice as large as the other three --see photo below. Not a big deal, but it just gives the impression that they don't care about the details
  3. The bar for the rear curtain is way too big -see photo below. It must be some another truck; maybe a fullsize pickup. I am going to have them send me correct bar.
Would I do it all over again? Most likely yes, due to the fact that the overall design looks good, and is one of the few soft toppers that comes with see-through windows on the sides.

One of the washers included with the clamps was twice as large as the other three

The seal bar for the rear curtain is the incorrect length

Mine was very a very tight fit, which made it harder to install on a 75 degree day.Once on it isn't coming off.Again this is on a Ford Ranger.
