another trip t Knik Glacier, didn't make it. Turned around at Wolfe Creek after a RAM Power wagon broke through the ice. Had a bit of a warm spell, so a lot of snow melt and ice. most would recommend not even trying... but we had an experienced group and called it when things got sketchy.

I went to go look at the campground out there today. No snow but the gate was locked. We finally bought our trailer a little Kodiak Cub so when I finish getting the brake controller installed was wanting to go spend a night out there.

When it gets blistering cold for weeks I'll go out to the glacier. When conditions are right a Focus with studs can make it out. It's crazy how thin the ice gets out there so quickly. It can be 40 on the Kuskokwim on any given day in January and semis will be hauling freight on it. Try that on the Knik and you'll be praying you can get out.

I think a group tried to go out this weekend, I haven't seen any updates on it yet. Wonder if they made it. I'm breaking in some new gears, so no wheeling until then. Too cold for me to do any camping in the winter... need a working toilet

I saw that the people who went out to glacier yesterday had no issues

Gratz :)

Wish they had Rubicons when i got mine. I had wrecked my JGC and didn't have time to wait for one. Lithia Wasilla did get a LE Rubicon a couple days after i bought mine and said they didn't know it was coming.... uhhuh yeah right.

So far, TT seems to be a good spot to get or order parts from. Be sure to give them a call before ordering on Amazon or wherever else. My buddy saves a lot on shipping going through TT, and he lives in Kenai. Oh and TC (their gear guy) comes highly recommended.

Man this thread has really died. Been a couple years, nobody has done anything Alaskan in their Gladiators? I won't say I have either really beyond a couple beach and glacier excursions. I haven't even taken any pictures of anything I have been up to other than when I wash the thing in the winter I guess. Hope the other AK guys are still well and in Gladiators

This is the latest iteration. About to break 70k miles since i got my JT, 09/2019.

Winter has been pretty brutal this season. Lots of snow and a really long cold snap in - (negative) territory for a couple weeks straight.

Finally finished my build; took longer than expected due to some stuff breaking. I think i'm done mostly, so i can start saving some money for other things.

37"s BFG KM3
Had to replace the front axle: Teraflex Tera30
TrailFX front fenders
Clayton 3.5" Overland + lift
Fox 2.0 shocks and steering stabilizer
Adams front driveshaft
4.88 Yukon gears
Eaton e-lockers front and rear
sunrider top
rugged ridge arcus front bumper
smittybilt 10k H20 winch
other bits
