Keep an eye on the stainless, i have bought chinese LED lights that came with "stainless" hardware, even had the A2 stainless stamp on the head. Well those fasteners started developing rust and rust stains...... Your mileage may very.

You guys have to be off on your weight my stainless RSI cap weighs 190 lbs. with a shipping weight of 221 lbs. Aluma cab canopy’s weighs 140 lbs.! Your caps come in steel or aluminum , the 179 lbs. sounds too high. The cap is a RSI knockoff but that is the way of the world anymore and there are no caps any where for $1200. Good find enjoy , pop open side windows and capacity of about 700 pounds are the two most important things…..Jack

I put my hard case kayak up top. Definitely strong enough for a roof top tent.

Thank you, I was leaning towards the aluminum because of payload also. Just wanted to make sure it was strong enough for a rooftop tent. Really appreciate your help.
