As much as I despise buying stuff from China, truck caps are far too expensive for what they are, by a factor of 4 or 5. They are an absolute rip off. If they are going to rip me off, I have no problem going around them and buying from China instead. For a price of $700 vs $3500 for "Made in America" or "manufactured overseas but sold by a US company" caps, I could buy 4 additional ones from China to have spare parts for a lifetime of abuse. Not that I want a truck cap, but if I did I'd have no problem buying one from China. It makes me sick to say that but it is what it is.

That would be ideal given one is slightly cheaper than the other. I’d prefer no side windows but the price isn’t bad at all

I have the solid sides. No issues in the yeast I’ve had it. Not sure with the tariffs and stuff now, but shipping was like 650 so 1250 all in and around 70 days till delivery.

Yes I paid about 3K for my fiberglass cap. It looks like it. People tell me it looks great, not just some black box made in China. But hay, to each his own.

I have the OVS cap, and am really sure it's Chinese manufactured. But of high quality.

As far as the question of choices. I like the Chinese folk, love their cooking but I hate f'in Commies. It don't matter if they are red, yellow, black or white.
The modern world is complex, how many of us have purchase computer products from a pedophile, gonorrhea laden, sex trafficking, megalomaniac billionaire. The guy who eats steak on his yachts, flys private planes, buts demands you let the government control your thermostat, ride public and eat bugs. Choices.
(I have to use his OS to do a lot of business but I use other productivity software and OS's whenever I can.)

It's for them Hemi, full custom suspension, massive sound system folk. I'm a Sport, stock suspension, debating on affording XM for the stock Jeep squawk box.

If I had a painted hard top and wanted it color matched, I’d care more and buy from one of the US companies. Since I don’t have a painted hard top and want the finish they come with, it’s less of a concern for me.
